Short answer: yes. Dire Wolves lived during the Quaternary Glaciation, also known as the "Ice Age" - how cool is that? You want to know what's slightly less cool? You're, technically, sort-of living in the same period since the Quaternary Glaciation hasn't really ended yet (technically, we're in an interglacial period, which marked the beginning of the Holocene epoch - which, coincidentally, is my favorite epoch).
